1. Introduction

This Privacy Policy explains what information AI Cost Gate ("ACG", "we", "our") collects, how we use it, and what choices you have. It covers the AI Cost Gate marketing portal and account dashboard located at this website (the "Portal") and the operational workflows we use to sell and deliver private access to the proprietary AI Cost Gate software.

The AI Cost Gate software itself (the "Software") is designed to run on your own infrastructure. By design, it does not send your prompts, completions, or request payloads to us. That product behavior is described in §6.

2. Information you give us

When you create an account, contact us, or buy Pro access, you may provide:

Your name and email address.
Your password (stored hashed; we never see the plaintext).
Your GitHub username — provided when private repository delivery is needed, so we can send you a collaborator invitation or otherwise complete delivery of licensed materials.
Any information you choose to include in messages you send us (support emails, contact form, billing questions).

3. Information collected automatically

When you visit the Portal, our hosting provider records standard server logs such as your IP address, user-agent, the page requested, the response status, and the timestamp. We use these logs only to operate the Portal, detect abuse, and debug issues. We do not place advertising or third-party analytics cookies on the Portal.

4. How we use your information

We use the information we collect to:

Create and maintain your account.
Process your purchase and deliver access to the proprietary Software and related materials.
Send you essential service emails such as purchase receipts, account security alerts, delivery notices, and material policy changes.
Respond to your support requests and billing questions.
Operate, secure, and improve the Portal.

We do not sell your information, and we do not share it for advertising purposes.

5. Who we share information with

We share information only with a limited set of service providers that help us run the Portal and complete delivery:

Creem — processes your payment when you buy Pro access or other paid delivery options. Creem receives your billing details; we receive confirmation, status, and receipt information.
Resend — sends transactional emails such as receipts, delivery notices, and account-security messages.
GitHub — if delivery happens through a private repository, we use the GitHub username you provide to send or revoke collaborator access.
Hosting provider — stores the Portal's database and runs the application. Logs may be retained for a limited period for security and debugging.

We may also disclose information when required by law, or when reasonably necessary to protect our rights, your safety, or the safety of others.

If AI Cost Gate or its assets are transferred, your account information may be transferred to the successor under this same Privacy Policy or a policy that is materially no less protective.

6. The Software runs on your infrastructure

The AI Cost Gate Software is designed to run locally on infrastructure you control. When you run the Software:

It logs request metadata, cost information, and project / agent / model attribution to a local SQLite database on your machine.
It does not send prompts, completions, or request payloads to us.
It does not phone home, embed advertising trackers, or send product-usage telemetry to us.
If you enable provider integrations such as OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, OpenRouter, or custom providers, those requests go from your deployment to the provider you configure.

Because the Software runs on infrastructure you control, the local data it records remains under your control rather than ours.

7. Data retention

We keep your account information for as long as your account is active and as long as reasonably necessary to maintain billing, delivery, and security records. If you delete your account, we delete or anonymize account data and associated purchase records within a reasonable operational period, unless we must keep specific records for legal, accounting, fraud-prevention, or dispute-resolution purposes.

8. Your rights

You may contact us to:

Access the personal information we hold about you.
Correct inaccurate information.
Delete your account and associated personal information, subject to our legal and operational retention needs.
Ask questions about how we use your information.

9. Security

We use industry-standard safeguards such as HTTPS in transit, hashed passwords, least-privilege access controls, and session security measures appropriate to the Portal. No system is 100% secure; if we discover a breach that materially affects your information, we will notify affected users as required by law.

10. Children

The Portal is not directed at children. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we will review and close the account where appropriate.

11. Changes to this Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version on this page. For material changes, we may notify you by email (if you have an account) or by a prominent notice on the Portal.
